Demand action on air pollution

A map of charging points for electric vehicles on zap-map.com has revealed a ‘Lambeth-sized hole’, where little to no charging points exist. Some wards have none altogether.

This contrasts with neighbouring Wandsworth where charging points are plentiful, with their local council aiming to place them on every street in their borough.

Failure to apply for funding

Parts of Lambeth, particularly those in the north of the borough like Vauxhall and Brixton, which have some of the highest rates of air pollution in London. Even in Streatham, our residents’ surveys revealed that air pollution was one of people’s top environmental concerns.

Yet Labour-dominated Lambeth Council has failed to apply for Government funding to install electric car charge points through the On-Street Residential Scheme.

On air pollution it’s time for action, not excuses.

Demand action on air pollution

“We call on Lambeth to take real action on air pollution by making full use of the Government funding available to install charging points for electric vehicles in our borough.”
