Meet your prospective parliamentary candidates who will represent you in the next general election.
Vauxhall: Sarah Lewis
Sarah is the Liberal Democrat candidate for Vauxhall. She lives in Brixton.
Sarah works around the world to deliver the services that give everyone a fair chance at a heathy and productive life: sexual and reproductive health for teenagers, new mothers and LGBTQ communities; vaccines for babies and children; and mental health support for all.
Closer to home, Sarah volunteers with young people – helping them to campaign on the issues they care about, such as knife crime.
For fun, Sarah enjoys holidays abroad, from Portugal to The Gambia and the Dominican Republic. She practices her Hindi, loves live music, meets friends in the pub, and runs in local parks.
Sarah is determined to make Britain fairer and kinder. She believes we need a government that listens and then works with people to make things better. This starts with stopping Brexit.
Sarah is standing because we need more homes for local people. We need more and better council homes. We need rents local people can afford. We need to save local pubs, community centres, music venues and green spaces – the places where we all come together.
We need to protect our young people. We must get kids off the streets and give them new skills, well-being and purpose. We can do this by ending school exclusions, by legalising cannabis and by giving everyone the mental health support they need.
Sarah has seen first-hand that we must take action on climate change. If we don’t then it will be the poorest who will struggle first and most.
Sarah is working hard to deliver all this and to give Vauxhall a strong voice in Parliament.

Streatham: Helen Thompson
Helen Thompson was born in Lambeth and brought up near the south coast, before returning to live in Brixton Hill five years ago. Helen works at a humanitarian NGO delivering life-saving aid to people affected by crises in countries like Yemen and Syria.
Helen was previously a civil servant working on policy development, programme delivery and advising ministers at the Department for International Development. She worked at the British Embassy in Afghanistan for over two years to improve access to education for Afghan girls and women's participation in public life.
She left the civil service soon after the EU referendum so that she could stand up for her beliefs and fight Brexit. She joined the Lib Dems and has been leading the local team in Streatham ever since. Helen led the European election campaign that saw the Lib Dems finish in first place in Streatham. She is committed to stopping Brexit, tackling knife-crime and climate change, improving air quality and providing housing for all.
Helen lives with her partner Fernando, who hails from Argentina and is an EU national. She gets around Lambeth by bike and is a keen runner and (lapsed) triathlete. Helen is an active member of the local community, supporting young refugees, pro-choice campaigners and road safety initiatives in the Streatham area.
