No to daylight robbery!

The 72 Upper Ground office block was recently granted planning permission on the South Bank by Labour Lambeth. This whale of a building is more than three times as big as what it replaces and will reduce daylight for residents and all those walking by.

It’s daylight robbery!

But this is not the only whale that Labour Lambeth has in store for our community. There’s the proposed Wootton Street development which will block out the light for residents of Ipsden, Tait and Windmill. There’s Denby Court which could not be more out of keeping. That’s not to mention 8 Albert Embankment - the old London Fire Brigade HQ.

With Labour in charge at the Town Hall, there is unfortunately no end of whales to watch out for.

We oppose Labour Lambeth Planning pushing through big developments for big profits - without listening to the concerns of current residents.

We call on Labour Lambeth to give greater consideration to negative effects on the quality of life of our residents when considering new developments.
