St Leonards By Election Today

On 7th May Labour lost control of Lambeth after 20 years in power.

Since then the borough has been in no overall control. The Lib Dems agreed to enable the Greens to form an administration because they won the most councillors and the most votes. The elections today will not change that.

The Liberal Democrat Group are committed to putting the needs of residents over political point scoring, and are ready to collaborate with all members to fix Lambeth.

The by-elections TODAY, 9th July will not functionally change this fact, and no matter what happens, the council will remain in no overall control.

In situations like this it’s all the more important to have a local councillor who will work hard for you.
