Chris French selected for Myatts Field By Election

Chris French, local Lambeth resident and campaigner, is standing as our candidate in the Myatt's Fields by-election, and here's why in his own words:

"It's the second highest social housing ward in Lambeth, and it's an area and people we need and want to get to know much better. We're keen to listen to what actually matters here, as much as we are to share what we've accomplished, and there's plenty to tell.

In under a year we've gone from 3 councillors to 9, we're the group that got Lambeth its new hybrid committee system, and in July we got a motion through Full Council giving tenants and leaseholders the right to sign off their own repairs before the contractor gets paid. In a ward like this, that's not an abstract win. It will cover nearly 2,000 council rented homes in Myatt's Fields alone, and leaseholders on top of that.

Every conversation here strengthens our position for the London Assembly in 2028, the next general election, the next local elections, and beyond."
