Lambeth Liberal Democrat Councillors Open Letter to Lambeth Green Party Councillors

As Councillors we must all take seriously the commitment to make Lambeth a borough of Equity, Justice and Community Wellbeing. As agreed in Lambeth 2030: our future, our Lambeth, we work to make our borough a place of sanctuary, where everyone feels safe and secure, where all residents are valued and free to live their lives without fear.

Across our Liberal Democrat Council Group, we are deeply concerned about the implications of the motion passed at the Green Party's conference, Zionism is Racism, for our Jewish community. We ask your administration to set out its plans in regard to the following:

- What actions will you take to reassure Jewish members of our community that full protections and freedoms are extended to them?

- What safeguards will you put in place to ensure that Councillors, activists and those delivering Council services act in line with these principles, without prejudice, and in accordance with the law?
