Statement from Group Leader Matthew Bryant

Annie served as a Labour councillor for Vassall ward and then Myatt’s Field ward for
over twelve years, and was Mayor of Lambeth in 2021/22.

Cllr Matthew Bryant, Leader of the Liberal Democrat group on Lambeth Council said:
“Annie was embedded in her community. Her commitment to her constituents and to
our borough was clear. For the last four years we both served as trustees of the
South London Relief in Sickness Fund. I saw at first hand her commitment to those
facing financial hardship and her passion for and deep knowledge of disability rights.
She will be greatly missed by all at Lambeth Council. On behalf of all of our council group and the Lambeth Liberal Democrats, I send our condolences to her family, friends and loved ones at this terribly sad time"
