Lib Dem group alternative budget

Lambeth Liberal Democrats want better for our borough. But we are clear about the scale of the challenge. 

Lambeth’s finances are under real pressure. This Labour Administration has wasted vast amounts on Homes for Lambeth; and they routinely pay compensation to leaseholders they have over-charged, as well as to the many Council tenants they have left in unacceptable conditions. 

On top of this, the Labour Government, which stood on a platform for change, plans to cut the Government contribution to Lambeth by £52.7m per annum. 

But even in tight times, choices matter. We will not accept the view that nothing can change. However little money there is, there are choices as to how it should be spent.
