Kita Ogden
Your Lib Dem candidate for Streatham Hill West & Thornton
Kita has lived in Lambeth for more than 20 years and has two children at Henry Cavendish primary school (Streatham site).
As a former Lib Dem councillor for Streatham Hill – and with a professional career in property and planning – Kita knows how to stand up for residents and get results!
In her spare time, she volunteers in the school library encouraging pupils to discover a joy of reading. She is also running a campaign against councils closing primary schools to use them as polling stations on election days. These unnecessary closures disrupt learning and cause childcare problems for working parents and carers.
If elected to represent Streatham Hill West and Thornton, Kita will work with Councillor Matthew Bryant to:
- campaign for more electric vehicle charging points and bicycle storage locally;
- reduce crime and anti-social behaviour on Streatham Hill;
- stop Labour’s £4m streetlight dimming programme;
- reduce traffic speeds, especially at dangerous junctions;
- improve street cleaning and weeding.
